Quality Systems College Co-op

Job Description Summary

We are searching for a Quality Systems Co-op to contribute to our Global Quality Systems group within our Corporate Quality team. This position will be based out of our Detroit Business Office.

The Quality Systems Co-op will gain a broad understanding of AAM's process, products, procedures, and systems through the process of supporting implementation of new initiatives in Quality Management Systems. Support to the plant in the deployment of new systems and procedures. Compile Quality Metrics. Automation of Quality Process aligned with concepts of Industry 4.0. Additionally, the Quality Systems will assist with tracking AAM corporate Quality Audits and Corrective Actions provided to address the gaps identified during audits.

Job Description

• Learn about AAM Q4 Quality System
• Train the plants in the utilization of QMS (Quality Management System) after receiving in proper training
• Develops training material
• Helps transition documentation between previous and new system
• Management of Quality Systems SharePoint
• Interfaces with plant Quality Team
• Contributes to quality improvement and organization success by welcoming related, different, and new requests; helping others accomplish job results.
• All other duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Education

• Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Engineering fulltime with a graduation date of December 2026
• Minimum of 3.0 GPA.
• Available to work a minimum of 25 hours per week, year-round.
• Must be able to work in the US without Vias Sponsorship.
