Controls Engineering Technician

Job Description Summary

The Controls Engineering Technician leads the design, testing, installation, and maintenance of machinery and automation for use in manufacturing. Applications are sophisticated, requiring cross-disciplinary integration and wide application of concepts.

Seeking a candidate available to work an off-shift schedule, including weekends.

Job Description

· Work with electrical drawings, ladder logic, HMI programs and PLC control systems for machinery and automation.

· Basic understanding of robot operation and programming.

· Strong troubleshooting skills.

· Understanding of safety in a manufacturing environment and how it applies to machinery.

· Experience with fluid power systems.

· Working experience with vision systems.

· Work effectively on a team and in individual situations.

· Experience with CNC machine troubleshooting.

· Assist plant maintenance troubleshooting equipment.

· All other duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Education

· Associate Degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, Automation Technology, Mechatronics or related field from an accredited college/university or Trade School

· 1+ years’ experience in controls technician position.
