Job Description Summary

AAM-Ridgway is a leading powder metal manufacturing facility committed to quality, safety, and continuous improvement. Our team is growing, and we're looking for a dedicated Maintenance Mechanic to help keep our operations running smoothly. We have openings on second and third shift.


As a Maintenance Mechanic with AAM-Ridgway, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a variety of industrial equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime. This position plays a critical role in the daily operation of our facility, requiring a keen eye for detail, solid troubleshooting skills, and a strong work ethic.

Job Description

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on machinery and mechanical equipment
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues
• Read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, and schematics
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation
• Collaborate with production teams to minimize downtime and maintain safety standards
• Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental regulations
• Actively participates in continuous improvement activities.
• Reads blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures.
• Proficient with machinery sequence of operation to locate problem area(s).
• Proficient with mechanical fitment, thread sizing and assembly.
• Make repairs and modifications to Hydrogen, Nitrogen, Methanol, and Natural Gas systems.
• Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments.
• Records maintenance actions performed in computerized maintenance system.
• Assists other associates as directed by the Team Leader and/or Supervisor.
• Other duties as assigned.

• 2nd Shift: 3p-11p

• 3rd Shift: 11p-7a

Required Skills and Education

• Ideal candidates have 2-5 years of manufacturing maintenance experience but will to train the proper individual.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with knowledge of industrial systems and tools
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• High attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Flexibility to work second or third shift
• High school diploma or GED required; technical training or certification a plus
