Job Description Summary

#TeamAAM is looking for a Coordinator Industrial Engineering to join our Driveline Team in Detroit, Michigan. This position will be based out of our Detroit Business Office.

The Coordinator Industrial Engineering manages engineering support for production, maintenance, and testing of manufactured products and technologies. They ensure achievement of plan and product quality. They also manage high-impact, long-duration engineering initiatives and projects. This person will provide specialized technical support and consulting services to various areas of the organization. They will also lead production launch industrial engineering activities; driving programs to completion on time and within budget. They also manage staffing, development, and performance management programs for engineering teams; manages, motivates, and develops project and team leaders.

Job Description

• Plans and establishes work schedules, assignments, and workflow to meet departmental goals/operational objectives.

• Monitors performance to standards, budgets, and departmental goals/operational objectives.

• Recommends or implements measures to motivate associates and to improve productivity, quality, and efficiency.

• Supervises a team of industrial engineers who plans and oversees layout of equipment, office, and production facilities.

• Conducts studies in operations to maximize work flow and spatial utilization.

• Reduces waste by studying methods, equipment, and operator techniques; recommending changes; identifying and analyzing waste.

• Implements work improvement programs by conferring with management and engineering staff.

• Responsible for hourly labor budget development.

• Prepares work-analysis information and reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends.

• Protects organization value by keeping information confidential; cautioning others regarding potential breaches.

• Contributes to industrial engineering and organization success by welcoming related, different, and new requests; helping others accomplish job results.

• All other duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Mechanical Engineering, or other relevant field.

• 5+ years of relevant professional experience.

• Proven people management skills - able to motivate and supervise a team.

• Industrial Engineering Launch experience preferred.

• Plant Industrial Engineering experience preferred.
