You work within the Supplier Quality Team and serve as an ambassador for supplier quality to the rest of the organization regarding the program launch readiness of the supplier base. You act as the cornerstone with Procurement, Product Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Program Management and Supply Chain with a goal of supporting flawless program launches. The Supplier Quality Engineer (m/w/d) also liaises with the Site SQE group responsible to complete the PPAP, APQP and supplier audit for each component of a program.

• Sie sind verantwortlich für die Qualitätsvorausplanung (APQP / PPAP) europäischer und deutscher Lieferanten. Sie stellen dabei sicher, dass unsere technischen Vorgaben und Prozesse eingehalten werden.
• Sie überwachen, verwalten und eskalieren proaktiv wesentliche Probleme, die ggf. im Laufe des Freigabeverfahrens (PPAP) auftreten, bei Qualitätsproblemen in allen Phasen der Programmstarts oder bei unvollständigen Ergebnissen der Qualitätsvorausplanung (APQP). Dabei treiben Sie Lösungen voran, um die Ziele für den Programmstart zu erreichen.
• Sie vertreten das SQE-Team bei den monatlichen Programmbesprechungen und den wöchentlichen Program Launch Teammeetings um über den PPAP Fortschritt der Lieferanten zu berichten. Sie tauschen sich zudem eng mit unseren Kollegen an unseren europäischen und deutschen Standorten bzgl. Koordinierung, Umsetzung und Abschluss des jeweiligen Produktionsfreigabeverfahrens (PPAP) aus.
• Sie nehmen an technischen Überprüfungen der Zulieferer teil, überprüfen die Zustimmungs-/Ablehnungsmatrix und überwachen den Abschlusses offener Fragen.
• Sie bereiten Inhalte vor, die während der Programmüberprüfungen und Gate-Reviews präsentiert werden und erfassen Meilensteine im integrierten Programmmanagementsystem. Sie erstellen zudem Fortschrittspräsentationen einzelner Programme.

English:

• You are responsible for advance quality planning (APQP / PPAP) for European and German suppliers. You ensure that technical specifications and processes are adhered to.
• You proactively monitor, manage and escalate significant issues that may arise during the release process (PPAP), quality issues in all phases of program launches or incomplete advance quality planning (APQP) results. You drive solutions to achieve the program launch targets.
• You represent the SQE team at monthly program meetings and weekly program launch team meetings to report on supplier PPAP progress. You also liaise closely with our colleagues at our European and German sites regarding the coordination, implementation and completion of the respective production release process (PPAP).
• You participate in supplier technical reviews, review the approval/rejection matrix and monitor the closure of open issues.
• You prepare content to be presented during program reviews and gate reviews and record milestones in the integrated program management system. You also create progress presentations for individual programs.

Required Skills and Education

Deutsch:

• Abgeschlossenes technisches Studium, vorzugsweise Wirtschaftsingenieurwesen oder Maschinenbau oder vergleichbare Ausbildung
• Mindestens 2 Jahre Erfahrung in der Anwendung von Qualitätswerkzeugen und im Projektmanagement
• Nachgewiesene Kenntnisse des APQP-Prozesses
• Verständnis für die Herausforderungen der Automobilbranche
• Erfahrung mit Produktentwicklung und mit Produktionsanlagen wünschenswert
• Erfahrung im Risikomanagement bei der Beschaffung
• Selbstständige Arbeitsweise, gute analytische Fähigkeiten
• Stark und überzeugend in der Kommunikation mit der Fähigkeit, erfolgreich zwischen unterschiedlichen Interessen zu vermitteln
• Sehr gute Deutsch- und Englischkenntnisse in Wort und Schrift

English:

• Completed technical studies, preferably in industrial engineering, mechanical engineering or a comparable subject area
• at least 2 years of experience in the use of quality tools and in project management
• Proven knowledge of the APQP process
• Good understanding of the challenges of the automotive industry in connection with the transformation to electromobility or supply chain disruption
• Experience with product development and production facilities desirable
• Experience in risk management in procurement
• Independent working style, good analytical skills
• Strong and persuasive communicator with the ability to successfully mediate between different interests
• very good written and spoken German and English skills
