Job Description Summary

Responsible for safely and efficiently loading and unloading materials into and out of industrial furnaces

Job Description

• Preparing the furnace for loading, maintaining the work area, and documenting the process
• Safely and accurately loading items into the furnace, and unloading them after processing.
• Utilizing tools like slings, cranes, or other equipment to move materials, including potentially heavy or high-temperature items
• Monitoring furnace temperatures, ensuring proper loading procedures, and potentially adjusting furnace settings based on process requirements
• Keeping the work area clean, organized, and safe, including proper disposal of waste materials
• Completing necessary paperwork, logs, or reports related to the furnace process

Required Skills and Education

• HS Diploma/GED
• Ability to lift and move heavy items, potentially in extreme temperatures.
• Accuracy in loading, unloading, and documenting the process. 
• Understanding of furnace operation and material handling equipment. 
• Working effectively with other team members, such as crane operators, supervisors, or other furnace operators. 
• Ability to identify and address issues related to the furnace process or materials.
•  Understanding of safety protocols and the ability to follow them
