Business advisor to the business unit leader (including plants and respective SG&A cost centers)Commercial/business decision support (all cost estimates, quotations and investment analysis)

Establish and execute productivity and cost reduction initiatives
(coordinate and monitor major BU action plans to seize competitive opportunities or correct shortfalls)

Ability to communicate and present to all levels of management
Job Description:
Prepare and direct the forecast process in a repetitive manufacturing environment
Prepare and direct the budget/LRFP process in a repetitive manufacturing environment
Prepare and maintain approved local capital plan
Direct appropriation request process and follow to approval
Direct the month end closing process in a standard cost environment
Identify appropriate financial information for dissemination and distribute to focus division leadership on results needed
Develop processes and set infrastructure to measure, understand and monitor
business unit results relative to action plans and milestones
Ensure proper statutory compliance with local laws
Direct the preparation of statutory books in applicable countries, including the external audit (if applicable)
Direct the preparation and review of local country taxes
Hire, train, coach and mentor business unit finance staff
Motivate staff to develop multiple relationships
Address performance issues when required (operational and staff)
Align resources with shared services to drive correct focus at business unit level
Support competitive intelligence and benchmarking
Ensure proper financial controls are in place and being followed
Compliance with applicable laws and policies relative to finance (including Sarbanes Oxley)
Monitor and evaluate risks the business unit faces; coordinate plan(s) with appropriate management
Responsible for the business unit balance sheet and cash flows, including:
Coordination/planning with corporate
Compliance with policies
Account reconciliation and review
Ensure coordination of inventory valuation and API's (API's with materials)
Responsible for labor negotiation costing/modeling
Oversight of and responsibility for preparation of accurate ABC cost and part profitability
Local due diligence for M&A (as assigned)
Oversight of cash management and local debt compliance
Timely communication of financial matters to corporate

Responsible for support services in BU (parameters and policies defined by corporate):
Local financial services
AP, AR & payroll
Foreign federal taxes
Local taxes
Required Skills and Education
• 10+ years related experience in progressive financial management in a manufacturing experience in public accounting/auditing in a environment
• Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance
• Advanced computer skills (e.g. Microsoft Excel, Access, Word)
• Experience with high performance work teams
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally 10-20%
• MBA or CPA preferred (or equivalent)
• Previous finance experience in an operating unit of a publically traded company
