Material Planner/Scheduler

Job Description Summary

#TeamAAM is looking for a Material Planner/Scheduler to join our Driveline team in Three Rivers, Michigan. This is an onsite role.

This individual is responsible for scheduling and managing customer shipments, monitoring production and controlling the procurement of raw material. They ensure raw materials are maintained at optimal levels to cover manufacturing while achieving inventory targets They also ensure manufacturing maintains a smooth production plan with a steady flow of materials. This person will interact and manage relationships with trading partners. They will also process supplier forecasts to ensure alignment with production planning and forecasting.

The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a positive attitude and willingness to learn. Relevant experience working within the automotive industry is preferred.

Job Description

• Manages weekly and daily customer ship requirements and window times; communicates with production and shipping departments. Proactively reacts to changes.
• Tracks raw material replenishment to ensure production coverage.
• Applies reports to support daily and weekly operations.
• Helps coordinate and communicate daily production build requirements to satisfy customer demand and maintain inventory targets.
• Reviews and maintains supplier forecasts on a weekly basis.
• Communicates proactively with trading partners.
• Expedites inbound and outbound material by identifying problems and resolutions.
• Maintains pull loop size based on PFEP recommendations.
• Monitors and updates the PFEP collection plans for accuracy.
• Proactively elevates critical supply and delivery issues to management.
• Uses the supplier scorecard and troubleshoots poor performing suppliers; works closely to improve supplier performance.
• Uses the supplier scorecard to initiate internal operational improvements.
• Maintains inventory targets while continuing smooth operations.
• All other duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain or equivalent experience.
• 1-2+ years of planning/scheduling experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
