Associate Material Planner/Scheduler

Job Description Summary

The Associate Material Planner/Scheduler is responsible for ensuring the timely availability of materials to support production schedules at the El Carmen Manufacturing Facility, optimizing inventory levels, and contributing to overall operational efficiency.

Job Responsibilities**

* Develop and maintain production schedules based on sales forecasts, customer orders, and inventory levels.
* Monitor material requirements and place purchase orders with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery.
* Track and expedite critical material orders to prevent production delays.
* Collaborate with production, purchasing, and logistics teams to resolve material availability issues.
* Analyze material usage and forecast future material needs to optimize inventory levels and minimize obsolescence.
* Maintain accurate material master data within the ERP system.
* Participate in inventory cycle counts and reconcile discrepancies.
* Identify and implement process improvements within the material planning and scheduling function.
* Generate reports on material availability, inventory performance, and production schedule adherence.
* Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures related to material management.

Required Skills and Education

Job Qualifications**

* Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
* 1-3 years of experience in material planning, scheduling, or a related supply chain role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
* Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
* Knowledge of inventory management principles and production planning methodologies.
* APICS certification (CPIM or CSCP) is a plus.
