This involves defining the product's vision and strategy, understanding the market and the target audience, and developing a product that meets the customers' needs. This individual will coordinate overall project timing milestones, budget, and required activities to support new programs.

Job Description
Disseminates information within assigned work teams.
Maintains constant contact with others at all AAM sites, including suppliers, customers, and other key stakeholders.
Provides informational interface from all AAM plants to Corporate/Regional Program Management.
Participates in all reviews with key suppliers.
Leads the PLT to a successful launch by stimulating interaction between functional groups / challenging team members to contribute proactively to the program’s success / providing tools that promote controlled and measurable progress toward program goals.
Assists in the implementation of new Program Management practices and procedures.
Assists Product Engineering in managing prototype delivery through rallying additional AAM resources.
Drives responsible groups to drive cost out through negotiation and productivity for the benefit of the program and AAM overall.
Tracks timing, analyzes and reports variances to baseline, and prepares exception reports.
Monitors adherence to timing on all plant-related launch activities.
Organizes build events, coordinates cross-functional resources to ensure participation and proper coverage
Manages plant-level Program Launch Teams (PLT) to communicate program information and to coordinate activities between the team
Actively supports Regional Program Managers in the planning and execution of the program.
Tracks product engineering design and/or manufacturing process changes to ensure proper implementation during startup.
All other duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a combination of experience and education.
- 3-5+ years of manufacturing launch experience.
- Experience working in the automotive field.
- Machining and assembly experience preferred.
