2nd Maintenance Tech

Job Description Summary

Interact with Crew Supervisor and Manufacturing Specialists to assess requirements and provide needed materials and direction for the purpose of assisting employees to safely maintain equipment to make product that meets the Customer’s expectations at levels of productivity that meet or exceed the established plan.

REPORTS TO

Directly to the Maintenance Team Leader of that shift.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Notify Maintenance Team Leader, Production Team Leader or Operator when task are completed and tested ready for Production. Rotate/ assist with other Maintenance Specialists to the as directed as it applies to time management. Communications between Maintenance Teams by completing work orders and PMs.  Assist with planned changes for minimum disruption at required operations. Responsible for assigned Maintenance Work orders and PMs Completion by entering into CMMS. Responsible for the maintenance of equipment, facility and property. Assist with maintenance activities that support the development, implementation and continuous improvement of a preventative maintenance program. Assist with engineering and quality groups in ensuring reliability and capability of production equipment and supporting systems. Assists the on-going training efforts of the maintenance organization to ensure that the skill level exists to meet demand of existing and emerging technologies by sharing knowledge of activities.

  as assigned.

Required Skills and Education

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS/EDUCATION

• High School Diploma or GED (Associate Degree in Applied Science in Electronic, Mechanical, Hydraulics, Automated Manufacturing or Electrical experiences  preferred) or equivalent work experience in a Maintenance Technician role.

EXPERIENCE

• Two (2) years’ experience in maintenance/manufacturing operations (4 years’ experience preferred)
• A working knowledge of compacting, forging, deflash, double disk grind, shot peen, whitelight inspection, video ink jet, magnetic particle inspection and dip tank operation is preferred.
• Allen Bradley system controls expertise preferred
