Controls Technician

Job Description Summary

A Controls Technician will diagnose, troubleshoot, and maintain electrical equipment. Assist with project related design, installation, and commissioning of controls systems. One position is available for 1st shift and one position for 2nd shift (2 positions available).

Job Description

·         Assist with troubleshooting and repair of down equipment. 

·         Ability to navigate ladder logic. Allen Bradley (RSLogix)

·         Ability to work with 24 DC to 480 volts AC. 

·         Ability to use test equipment such as a multi-meter, megohmmeter, phase rotation meter, and oscilloscope. 

·         Ability to read and understand blueprints and schematics. 

·          Familiarity with Fanuc robots for recovery, point adjustment and program change.  

·         Understand some aspects of project related design, installation, and commissioning. 

·         Basic understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.

·         Assist with general parts research, as necessary. 

·         Able to drive a forklift, scissor lift / articulating arm boom truck. 

·         Other duties as assigned by your manager. 

Required Skills and Education

• Associate degree or certification in Electrical Engineering Technology, Industrial Automation, or related field preferred
• Preferred 2 years of experience working in an industrial controls or maintenance role (preferably in a forging or metal forming environment)
