Senior Financial Analyst

Job Description Summary

Leads the organization's accounting activities, including financial record keeping and reporting.

Job Description

• Creating reports on financial performance for internal and external use.
• Performing balance sheet and P&L reconciliations.
• Creating and utilizing automated tools for the updating, analyzing, and reporting of consolidated financial results.
• Maintaining records of organization's financial activity in accordance with GAAP, organizational standards, and in compliance with Section 404 of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act.
• Creating reports on financial performance for internal and external use
• Completing month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities related to foreign exchange, cash management, and tax, including preparing the appropriate audit work papers for such activities.
• Supporting and assisting junior accounting staff in the development of their professional skills.
• All other duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Education

• 3-5 years of experience required, experience in  manufacturing environment preferred
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting / Finance
• Strong knowledge and experience with budgeting, costing, forecasting, and reporting systems
• Self-directed and self-motivated
• High level of independent judgment and thought
• Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
• Established track record of continuous personal improvement
• High level of analytical and problem solving ability where problems are unusual and complex
• Knowledge of accounting practices and procedures
