CNC Machine Lathe Operator/Programmer

Job Description Summary

Set up, program, and operate Mazak CNC Lathe producing tooling and prototypes on Mazak lathe; small lot sizes, multiple set ups per day.
Experienced in programming- ability to write a hand program without assistance, download and edit programs and troubleshoot when needed.
Ability to guide Blueprint Reading and GD&T.
Have knowledge of multiple types of controls.
Take ownership of quality control and gauging ability- ability hold a tolerance of +/- .001.
Programming experience in Mazatrol or G-Code.
Ability to perform lathe set ups, offsets and tool changes.

Job Description

Our Lathe Operators fill a vital role in the manufacturing process, as they complete accurate dimensional evaluations of parts produced and tooling used for our products and act as the first line of defense in the quality control process. They work as a team to produce high quality components, catch errors, and resolve issues on the fly throughout each day. They take ownership of their work and strive to produce the very best each day.

We are seeking an experienced Lathe Operator/Programmer who takes pride in their work and enjoys being in an engaging environment where their input and suggestions are valued.

Required Skills and Education

• 3 years proven record programming; Mazatrol preferred.
• 5 years demonstrated experience in set up and operation of lathe required.
• Must pass background check and drug screen.
• High School diploma and/or GED
