• The position holder manages the full procurement process for the commodities assigned, in accordance with the policies and strategic guidance provided by the global procurement organization.

DEUTSCH

• Identifiziert Lieferanten für neue und zukünftige Projekte in der Region. 
• Holt Kostenvoranschlägen und Angeboten ein, für Artikel oberhalb der Gebotsschwelle, die nicht unter Vertrag stehen und die nicht Teil des Beschaffungsprozesses des Global Category Management sind.
• Aufnahme/Aufbau von Beziehungen zu Lieferanten, um den besten Preis, Kapazität und Liefertermine auszuhandeln
• Treibt Kostensenkungen und Einsparungsinitiativen auf Werksebene unter Verwendung von KVP, VA/VE, Market Basket und lokalen Benchmarks zur Optimierung der Total Landed Cost und anderer Nachhaltigkeitsfaktoren voran. 
• Verhandelt die besten Lieferbedingungen, Metallmarktvereinbarungen und Langzeitvereinbarungen und aktualisiert den Vertragsstatus.
• Führt die Verwaltung des Lebenszyklus von Bestellungen durch, berichtet über auslaufende/veraltete Bestellungen oder Verträge und führt Bereinigungs- oder Abschlussaktivitäten durch.
• Prüft und bearbeitet eingehende Bestellanforderungen oder Bestellungen, gibt Werkzeugbestellungen auf, veranlasst Zahlungen für Werkzeugbestellungen, leitet PPAP-Anträge ein und aktualisiert Bestellungen mit Konstruktionsänderungen/Überarbeitungen.
• Zusammenarbeit mit Lieferanten und Geschäftspartnern zur Lösung von Routineproblemen im Supply Chain z. B. überfällige Bestellungen, Unstimmigkeiten bei Frachtkosten/Fakturierung, Preis-/Rechnungsdiskrepanzen, Aktualisierung/Erhöhung von Bestellungen usw.
• Erstellt das Ausgabenbudget für das folgende Jahr, prognostiziert Ausgaben und Preisänderungen für die kommenden Monate.
• Einhaltung der Richtlinien und Verfahren des Business Units und der AAM-Procurement.
• Andere zugewiesene Beschaffungstätigkeiten.

• Identifies suppliers for new and future projects in the region. 
• Gathers quotes and evaluates offers for items above the bid threshold not under contract and those not part of the global category management sourcing process.
• Onboards/builds relationships with suppliers negotiating the best price, capacity and delivery milestones.
• Drives cost reductions at plant level utilizing CIP, VA/VE, Market Basket and local benchmarks to optimize the Total Landed Cost and other sustainability factors. 
• Negotiates best delivery conditions, metal market agreements and long term agreements, updating the contract status.
• Performs Purchase Order (PO) lifecycle management, reporting on expiring/aged POs or contracts and executes clean-up/close out activities.
• Reviews and processes incoming requisitions or POs, places tool orders, initiates tool order payments, initiates PPAP requests and updates POs with design changes/revisions.
• Liaises with suppliers and business partners to resolve routine supply chain issues such as past-due POs, discrepancies in freight charges/billing, price/invoice discrepancies, updating/incrementing POs etc.
• Establishes the spending budget for the following year, forecasts spend and price changes for the coming months.
• Comply with business unit and AAM Procurement corporate policies and procedures.
• Other tasks as assigned.

Required Skills and Education

DEUTSCH

• Erfolgreich abgeschlossenes Bachelor- oder Master-Studium mit einem Engineering- oder Business-Schwerpunkt (oder ähnlich)
• Mindestens 5 Jahre Berufserfahrung als Einkäufer in der Einkaufsabteilung eines Fertigungsunternehmens
• Berufserfahrung in der Direktbeschaffung wäre von Vorteil, Erfahrung im Handling von Chemikalien, Gummi oder Produkte zur Oberflächenbehandlung willkommen
• Grundlegendes technisches Verständnis von Fertigungsprozessen
• Nachgewiesene Kompetenz im Management von Lieferantenbeziehungen – Verhandlungs- und Problemlösungskompetenz
• Ausgeprägte Kommunikations- und Administration-Fähigkeiten (z. B. Sicherstellung von Daten-Vollständigkeit, Verfolgung von Deliverables und Fristen), Fähigkeit, Informationen schriftlich zusammenzufassen
• Fähigkeit, mit internationalen funktionsübergreifenden Teams zusammenzuarbeiten
• Sehr gute PC-Kenntnisse, Erfahrung mit einem ERP-System (z. B. Oracle), MS-Office-User-Kenntnisse
• Bereitschaft zu Dienstreisen (1 bis 2 Dienstreisen pro Monat)
• Sehr gute englische Sprachkenntnisse, gute deutsche Sprachkenntnisse

ENGLISH

• Successfully completed Bachelor's or Master's degree in an Engineering or Business discipline (or equivalent)
• At least 5 years professional work experience as a Buyer in the Purchasing Department of a manufacturing organization
• Professional experience in Direct Procurement an advantage – experience handling chemical, rubber or surface treatment commodities welcome
• Basic technical understanding of manufacturing processes
• Demonstrated competence in supplier relationship management - negotiation and problem-solving
• Strong communication and administration skills (e.g. ensuring data completeness, follow up on deliverables and deadlines), ability to summarize information in written form
• Ability to work with international cross-functional teams
• Very good PC skills, experience using an ERP system (e.g. Oracle), MS-Office user knowledge
• Willingness to travel for business (1 or 2 business trips monthly)
• Very good English language knowledge, good German knowledge
