Job Description Summary
As a facilities maintenance technician you will provide daily support to the North and South plant production operations for maintenance and building repairs. The role requires the tech to perform a wide range of facilities services tasks including non-technical maintenance of plumbing, electrical, heating, ventilating, and/or air conditioning facilities and equipment, at a level not requiring formal licensure. Required to perform tasks of other unlicensed trades, such as drywall, carpenter, and painter.

Job Description

• Ability to perform all duties of general housekeeping as assigned
• Responsible for building and facilities maintenance tasks as assigned
• Responsible for maintaining a valid forklift license / scissor lift and articulating boom
• Maintains building and grounds
• Performs minor and routine plumbing, painting, and residential electrical wiring
• Performs minor exterior building repairs
• Responsible for changing light bulbs, ballasts, and minor electrical repairs
• Communicates effectively with management concerns for needing repairs for major repairs or additions to lighting, heating and ventilating equipment
• Manages suppliers for “medium to large” scope of work above and beyond our skills and equipment availability
• Occasionally drives pick-up truck/company cars, must has a valid driver’s license and clean driving record
•  Ability to troubleshoot building and equipment problems.
•  Supports production teams as needed
• as necessary
• Minor floor scrubber repairs, i.e. brush, wiper and filer changes
• Proficient in wall, trim and floor painting as assigned

Other duties as assigned by your manager

Required Skills and Education

This position requires a high attention to detail, the ability to work in ambiguous situations and requires little direction to get things done. Proficiency in PLEX. Ability to use computer terminals, hand and power tools. Construction skills required.
