Maintenance Technician

Job Description Summary

Responsible for ensuring equipment performance and availability by performing preventive maintenance tasks on production equipment, in addition to troubleshooting breakdowns as needed.

Job Description

Main Duties:
1. Conduct periodic inspections of production equipment (both automated and manual) and ensure proper operation.
2. Monitor machine condition using various diagnostic tools and techniques.
3. Perform routine maintenance activities such as lubricating moving parts, replacing worn or damaged components, and adjusting machinery to maintain optimal performance.
4. Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions promptly when they occur.
5. Implement corrective measures and make repairs where necessary to restore equipment functionality.
6. Maintain accurate records of maintenance work performed, including spare part consumption and repair times.
7. Adhere to safety protocols and regulations at all times while working on equipment.
8. Collaborate closely with production staff to minimize downtime and optimize equipment efficiency.
9. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing productivity and reducing costs.
10. Stay abreast of new technologies and innovations related to industrial equipment maintenance.

Required Skills and Education

Experience in maintenance roles within manufacturing environments.
Proficiency in basic hand tools and diagnostic equipment used for troubleshooting mechanical issues.
Knowledgeable in electrical systems and familiarity with PLCs would be advantageous.
Excellent problem-solving skills and adaptability to changing circumstances.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Commitment to safety and quality standards.
Previous experience working in a GMP environment preferred.
English intermediate level is required.
