Senior Material Planner & Scheduler

Job Description Summary

#TeamAAM is looking for a Senior Material Planner & Scheduler to join our Driveline team in Three Rivers, Michigan. This is a fully onsite role on the first shift.

This individual is responsible for scheduling, planning, and the oversight of material procurement, production, and delivery. They develop and execute material planning for a product line within the facility and ensure that all material requirements for assigned programs are satisfied within the allocated time frame. They also coordinate flow of materials within the Three Rivers Manufacturing Facility as well as the transfer of materials to and from inventory or warehouse. This person schedules and controls the release of materials and monitors material inventory in the plant, in the warehouse, and by critical suppliers. They will generate forecasts and manage the replenishment planning for parts and materials, ensuring specified service levels are realized.

Job Description

• Manages customer weekly and daily ship requirements and window times; communicates with production and shipping departments. Proactively reacts to changes.
• Racks raw material replenishment to ensure production coverage.
• Utilizes reports to monitor adherence to schedules.
• Provides daily and weekly production build requirements to satisfy customer demand and maintain inventory targets.
• Reviews and maintains supplier forecasts on a weekly basis.
• Communicate proactively with trading partners.
• Monitors expedited inbound and outbound material by identifying problems and resolutions.
• Validates pull loop size based on PFEP recommendations.
• Audits and updates the PFEP collection plans for accuracy.
• Proactively elevates critical supply and delivery issues to management.
• Utilizes the supplier scorecard to initiate internal operational improvements and troubleshoot poor performing suppliers; works closely to improve supplier performance.
• Monitors and manages inventory targets and variances.
• Communicates daily with our customer related to shipping plans.
• Prepares daily reports for leadership team.
• All other duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of relevant Production/Customer Planning experience, preferably within an automotive manufacturing environment.
• Highly proficient in Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
