Performs the responsibilities detailed below for the area assigned

Job Description

• Environmental/ Safety Requirements.
• Lockout/Tag-out - Equipment Safety.
• Start up and shut down of the lathe.

• Load and unload parts.

• Adjust sizes/change inserts. 

• Check parts according to the process sheet, Work Instructions, Control plan or Standardized Work.

• Enter checks into the Plex, SPC.

• Change tools and preset.

• NCM system, understand, perform, and follow the NCM procedure when needed. 

• Process Flow. 

• Proper Paperwork (Alerts, CARs, RFC, Travelers).

• Understand operation/train on control.
• Vending Machine/Bin Stock.

• Knowledge loading CMM, run program and how to re-hone.

• Understand 2D Bar Code.
• Knowledge of programs/first piece set up.
• Work Place Organization - 7S.
• MSDS System / Labeling.
• Plexus.
• WI, PS, SW, and JSA’s  location and understanding.
• Other duties assigned.
• Reference the Physical Demand Analysis for this job.

Required Skills and Education

High School Diploma or GED certification.

Manufacturing background preferred.  Working knowledge and ability to operate production machines, make adjustments, ability to gauge and measure parts, perform SPC and quality checks, complete X & R charts
