Job Summary

The Associate Material Planner/Scheduler is responsible for coordinating and scheduling the flow of materials within the El Carmen Manufacturing Facility to ensure production continuity and meet delivery targets. This role supports the efficient management of inventory and supplier relationships.

Job Responsibilities

* Assist in the development and execution of production schedules based on sales forecasts, customer orders, and inventory levels.
* Monitor and track material availability, identifying potential shortages or excesses and proactively communicating with relevant departments.
* Place purchase orders for raw materials and components, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
* Collaborate with suppliers to resolve material-related issues, such as delivery delays, quality discrepancies, or quantity mismatches.
* Maintain accurate inventory records and participate in cycle counting and inventory reconciliation activities.
* Analyze material usage and production data to identify trends and opportunities for process improvement.
* Support the implementation and maintenance of ERP/MRP systems related to material planning and scheduling.
* Work closely with production, procurement, and quality control teams to optimize material flow and minimize production disruptions.
* Prepare and present reports on material status, inventory levels, and supplier performance.
* Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.

Required Skills and Education

Job Qualifications

* Associate's degree in IMA, IME, IIA, IMM ,Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
* 2-3 years of experience in material planning, scheduling, or a related supply chain role, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
* Proficiency in using ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
* Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
* Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and inventory management techniques is a plus.
