Tool Room Technician

Job Description Summary

You will have access to some of the most knowledgeable, skilled, and dedicated team members in the industry to help guide you to your success. You will be responsible for the manufacturing of forging tools. You will be a part of a combined crew to work together in continuous improvement of tool performance, support production with adequate tooling and troubleshooting operational issues.

Job Description

• Ability to keep a safe and clean work environment

• Set up and operate CNC lathes and mills.

• Follow all proper internal tooling procedures

• Assist engineers in implementing process changes

• Maintain accurate and timely records of all tool repairs and changes

• Review tool breakage and assist in finding solutions

• Adhere to all company policies and procedures

• Organize and maintain tool inventories

• CMM

Required Skills and Education

• Minimum 1 to 3 years work experience in setting up and the operation of CNC lathes and mills.

• Ability to complete mathematical computations.

• Ability to read and edit CNC Programs

• Experience using calipers and other measuring equipment

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints

• Demonstrate the ability to troubleshoot and  have good problem solving skills

• GED or High school diploma Required

• Journeyman’s Card or similar certification preferred
