Senior Application Engineer

Job Description Summary

The Senior IT Application Engineer should also be a Technical-Functional candidate with over 10 years of Oracle Applications experience. The incumbent will be responsible for estimation, design, development, documentation and testing as well as having responsibility for compliance with AAM technology standards, processes, and policies.

Job Description

  • Partner with Oracle Development Manager to effectively manage tasks and issues and ensure efficient utilization of available time and resources
  • Extensive knowledge on Oracle Applications versions – 12.1.3 or higher, knowledge on Oracle Development Languages like SQL and PL/SQL, Oracle Development Tools such as XML / BI Publisher Reports, Reports, JSON, Forms, Workflow
  • Knowledge on Interfaces and Data conversions, writing Oracle Alerts, development and coding standards, upgrades and migration
  • Experience with EDI modules such as Release Management (RLM), e-Commerce Gateway (EC), Order Management (OM), Order-to-Cash process flow cycle, and Procure-to-Pay process flow cycle
  • Knowledge of a tool that can provide version control and automatic code migration is desirable
  • Should have knowledge on EDI formats, Creation of Bridge documents and Processing EDI data within Oracle.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Education

  • Bachelor's degree required in Computer Science or Engineering
  • Masters degree highly preferred
  • Extensive knowledge of: Oracle Applications 12.1.3 or higher, technical development knowledge on usage of Oracle PL/SQL, Oracle XML / BI Publisher Reports, Oracle APEX, OA Framework Pages, JSON, Oracle Workflow, Oracle Forms and Oracle Reports. 
  • Knowledge of Order-to-Cash processes, familiarity with the EDI Process, preparing bridge documents and EDI mapping documents. (Knowledge of preparing EDI bridge document and mappings with Oracle EBS.)
  • Experience with e-commerce Gateway, Release Management (RLM), Order Management (OM) modules of Oracle Applications
  • Knowledge of OCI architecture is desired.

Training/Licenses/Certifications

  • Oracle PL/SQL Developer Certified Associate, Oracle Certification preferred
  • STAT Dell is highly desired
  • Oracle Apps 12.1.3 or higher, should have knowledge of R12.1.3 standards
  • Oracle SQL, PLSQL, including Strong knowledge on Collections, Exception Handling, PLSQL Blocks, should be able to write functions, procedures, triggers, packages and also have the ability to write to write SQL scripts
  • EDI - knowledge of preparing EDI bridge document and mappings with Oracle EBS system
  • Linux / Unix Operating System - should have knowledge of various Application Top folders
  • Experience working with EDI VAN providers and worked with EDI specs around 11 to 12 years
  • Knowledge on Oracle modules such as EC, RLM, OM and shipping execution
