Job Description Summary

AAM is searching for a Maintenance Coordinator to join our team. This position will be based out of our North Vernon location in North Vernon, IN.

As a Maintenance Coordinator, you will oversee the performance and upkeep of manufacturing equipment and technologies within the plant. You’ll assess equipment effectiveness, identify improvement opportunities, and implement solutions to enhance reliability and efficiency. This role involves coordinating preventive maintenance with vendors, tracking warranties, and collaborating with engineering and suppliers to improve equipment and processes. You will also supervise a team of maintenance specialists, ensuring both individual and team performance meets operational goals.

Job Description

  • Lead maintenance team by hiring, training, scheduling, mentoring, and performance management; communicate expectations and ensure adherence to company policies.

  • Ensure maintenance operations meet productivity, quality, safety, and customer service standards; resolve issues and implement system improvements as needed.

  • Evaluate equipment and system performance through collaboration with operating departments; identify and address issues or operational requirements.

  • Implement and manage preventive maintenance programs to keep systems and equipment operating reliably.

  • Analyze performance data to recommend and implement changes, upgrades, or expansions to improve equipment effectiveness.

  • Maintain a safe and compliant work environment by following company and regulatory standards; promptly address potential hazards.

  • Prepare reports and summaries by collecting and analyzing maintenance data and identifying performance trends.

  • Support broader maintenance and organizational goals by contributing to cross-functional efforts and taking on related tasks as needed.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or an equivalent combination of education/certifications, and hands-on experience.

  • 5+ years related Manufacturing Maintenance experience.
