Material Handler

Job Description Summary

Responsible for driving a forklift to move, store, and organize materials inside a manufacturing facility, ensuring efficient workflow and accurate inventory management.

Job Description:

• Safely operate forklifts, overhead cranes, and other material handling equipment to transport materials to designated storage areas.
• Organize and store materials in an orderly and accessible manner, adhering to established safety protocols and inventory procedures.
• Pick and stage materials for production orders, ensuring accurate counts and timely delivery to machines.
• Perform routine inventory counts and assist with cycle counts to maintain accurate stock records.
• Identify and report any discrepancies, damages, or quality issues with materials.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, following 5S principles.
• Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.

Required Skills and Education

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience as a forklift operator, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects repeatedly throughout the workday.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in managing inventory.
• Basic computer skills for inventory tracking and data entry.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
