Responsible for driving a forklift to move, store, and organize materials inside a manufacturing facility, ensuring efficient workflow and accurate inventory management.Job Description:
- Safely operate forklifts, overhead cranes, and other material handling equipment to transport materials to designated storage areas.
- Organize and store materials in an orderly and accessible manner, adhering to established safety protocols and inventory procedures.
- Pick and stage materials for production orders, ensuring accurate counts and timely delivery to machines.
- Perform routine inventory counts and assist with cycle counts to maintain accurate stock records.
- Identify and report any discrepancies, damages, or quality issues with materials.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, following 5S principles.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
Required Skills and Education
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a forklift operator, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects repeatedly throughout the workday.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in managing inventory.
- Basic computer skills for inventory tracking and data entry.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
