Job Description Summary

Join us as a Team Leader in Detroit, and be part of shaping the future of mobility. As a member of our ambitious production team, you will have the unique opportunity to lead and collaborate with a diverse group of individuals who demonstrate exceptional work behaviors. This position is on 3rd Shift, 10:30AM to 7:00AM.

Job Description:

  • Sets up, and operates CNC milling, production tooling, or other machinery according to process specifications. 
  • Inspects parts visually and using precision measuring tools.
  • Operates machines, monitors operation and control panel displays to detect malfunctions, troubleshoot issues, and make adjustments.
  • Oversees, monitors, and coordinates production team activities, giving importance to individual member's and overall team's achievement of established goals. 
  • Trains others to perform job functions and develops standard work practices. 
  • Develop and implement strategies to consistently enhance manufacturing processes and efficiency.
  • Problem-solving in a manufacturing environment.
  • Able to perform offsets and basic troubleshooting
  • Ensures team's goals are aligned with and representative of the overall company's directive. 
  • Works collaboratively with team members and others to troubleshoot issues and resolve problems.
  • Keep scrap below the target and thrive to 0 (Zero) pcs of scrap.
  • Follows all safe work practices & safety rules. Follows established quality standards.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Education

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 1-3 years of related experience (less with additional specialized training and/or certification).
  • Works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function.
  • Ability to use computer terminals, gauges, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments. 
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and effectively manage competing priorities
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to analyze data and make sound judgments
  •  To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.   • Must be able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, quality documents, set-up instructions and blueprints.
