The Manufacturing Technician supports the Manufacturing Engineering team by assisting with production processes, equipment setup, and continuous improvement initiatives within a powdered metal manufacturing environment. This role focuses on improving productivity, reducing downtime, and ensuring high-quality production standards for connecting rod manufacturing operations. The technician will also support engineering activities related to computer architecture systems, engineering operating systems, operating system design, and design analysis of algorithms used within manufacturing and production environments.Job Description:
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Manufacturing Engineering team with production and process improvement initiatives.
- Assist with engineering systems involving computer architecture, engineering operating systems, operating system design, and algorithm analysis related to manufacturing applications.
- Improve productivity by optimizing machine setups and manufacturing processes for powdered metal connecting rods.
- Perform machine setups, adjustments, and changeovers to maintain efficient production flow.
- Use specification sheets, blueprints, work instructions, and internal quality standards to manufacture parts within required tolerances.
- Troubleshoot setup, equipment, and production issues to minimize downtime and maintain production targets and KPIs.
- Monitor manufacturing processes and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Ensure all products meet company quality standards and customer specifications.
- Maintain accurate production and quality documentation.
- Follow all safety procedures, policies, and housekeeping requirements.
- Collaborate with engineering, quality, maintenance, and production teams to support operational goals.

- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Basic computer and technical systems knowledge preferred.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in powdered metal manufacturing or metal forming processes preferred.
- Experience with connecting rod manufacturing or similar automotive components is a plus.
- Familiarity with manufacturing KPIs, lean manufacturing, and continuous improvement practices preferred.
Work Environment
- Manufacturing plant environment with exposure to moving machinery, heat, noise, and industrial equipment.
- Standing, lifting, bending, and repetitive motion may be required.
- Must be able to follow PPE and safety requirements at all times.
