Production Supervisor - 2nd ShiftJob Description Summary
#TeamAAM is searching for a Production Supervisor - 2nd Shift to join our team. This position will be based out of our North Vernon location in North Vernon, IN.The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily manufacturing operations by directing hourly associates and managing production resources to ensure safety, quality, and efficiency. This role includes planning, scheduling, and coordinating production activities; supervising associates; and maintaining material and labor requirements to meet production goals.
The Production Supervisor ensures compliance with process and quality control standards, coordinates equipment maintenance, and provides leadership, coaching, and development to foster a high-performing, engaged workforce.
Job Description
Supervise production associates by selecting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, and evaluating performance.
Communicate clear job expectations and provide ongoing feedback and development opportunities.
Monitor production performance and ensure adherence to established schedules and quality standards.
Maintain production processes by observing workflow and recommending or implementing process adjustments.
Expedite material flow and work results to ensure timely completion of production goals.
Identify and resolve production problems to minimize downtime and improve output.
Analyze workflow and eliminate bottlenecks to improve process efficiency and throughput.
Record production data, including daily reports, yields, and recoveries.
Maintain communication between shifts to ensure smooth handoffs and consistent operations.
Foster a positive working relationship with union representatives and comply with the collective bargaining agreement (CBA), where applicable.
Promote and maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by adhering to company policies, standards, and legal regulations.
Support organizational success by assisting with additional projects and initiatives as needed.
All other duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Education
Minimum of 2+ years of experience supervising production staff.
High school diploma or GED required.
3–5 years of manufacturing experience.
Willingness to work weekends as needed.
Experience using PLEX systems or similar manufacturing software.
