Oxford Forge, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Finishing Tech to perform a variety of finishing processes on manufactured parts, ensuring high-quality standards and timely completion.Job Description:
* Operate and maintain a range of finishing equipment, including grinders, sanders, deburring machines, and polishing tools.
* Inspect parts for defects, burrs, and imperfections, and apply appropriate finishing techniques to achieve specified surface finishes.
* Measure and verify part dimensions against blueprints and specifications using precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges).
* Perform masking, cleaning, and preparation of parts for subsequent processes such as painting, plating, or anodizing.
* Document finished product specifications, production data, and quality control checks accurately.
* Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
* Identify and report any equipment malfunctions or process issues to supervisory staff.
* Collaborate with production and quality control teams to address finishing challenges and optimize processes.
Job Qualifications
* 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment, preferably with hands-on finishing experience.
* Proficiency in using various hand and power tools common to finishing processes.
* Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions.
* Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
* Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs.
* Familiarity with quality control procedures and basic inspection techniques is a plus.
Required Skills and Education
Education:
* High school diploma or equivalent required.
Skills:
* Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
* Basic math skills for measurements and calculations.
* Self motivated individual accomplishing personal and company goals, while maintaining safety.
* Basic computer skills.
* Systematically organized and prepared.
*Skills in Microsoft software is a plus.
