Job Description Summary

AAM-Ridgway is looking for an Electrical Engineer, you'll be the go-to expert for designing, troubleshooting, and enhancing systems across a fast-paced Powdered Metal manufacturing environment. You’ll collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Quality, and Maintenance teams to ensure our products exceed customer expectations. Salary will be based on experience.

Your role will include:
•    Diagnosing and repairing advanced electrical/electronic systems (Allen-Bradley, FANUC, SIEMENS, Mitsubishi, KEYENCE, ABB, COGNEX).
•    Driving root-cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
•    Developing and implementing new technologies and experimental projects.
•    Training cross-functional teams and creating clear work instructions.
•    Leading electro-mechanical upgrades and process improvements.
•    Working knowledge of applicable hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
•    Must be a self-starter.
•    Must be able to work flexible shifts as needed.
•    Must have good written and verbal communication skills.
•    Must be proficient with EXCEL, Word and PowerPoint (or equivalent programs).
•    Understands requirements of many jobs performed by the team.
•    Good facilitation skills.
•    Understands different decision making and problem solving techniques.
•    Demonstrates ability to act with limited direction.
•    Communication skills necessary to work with people outside the team.
•    Demonstrates ability to get results through others.
•    Strong listening and communication skills.

Required Skills and Education

Qualification and Education Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in electrical/Electronic Engineering or minimum 5-7 years of equivalent experience. (Required).  

Must have the following experience:

  • FANUC, Vision Systems, and PLC and troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience in industrial electronic systems, electrical motor controls, programmable controls, printed circuits, AC/DC frequency drives, AutoCAD, Panel Building and print design, and Powder Metal Molding Press controls
