Job Description

• Assist Corporate engineers in planning, design and write specifications for the purchase of heat treat furnaces and tooling or retrofitting of equipment.
• Capable of troubleshooting and support all heat treat processing throughout the organization based on actual field or engineering experience
• Manage capital projects to implement the inspection, installation, documentation and PPAP of heat treat equipment
• Work closely with the maintenance organization to develop and/or maintain a detailed preventative maintenance program
• Assist in communizing process and practices at all AAM sites
• Work on new fixturing designs or coil designs and test for performance improvements.
• All other duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Education

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgy, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in heat treating processes, Gas Carburizing, LPC Vac Carburizing and Induction process is necessary.
• Exposure working in a manufacturing environment.
• Must be comfortable with at least 50% travel, both within U.S. and Internationally.
