Perform a variety of tasks, working under very minimal general supervision. Provide technical engineering support for processes and engineers.Job Description
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Technical expert in assigned area.
- Maintain CNC programs and processes and any program changes.
- Maintain robot programming and any program changes. Ensure robots are operating properly.
- Ensure appropriate cycle time is maintained.
- Provides various training to operations for tools, grinding, balancer, change-overs, gauges, chucks.
- Establish loader teach points for automated lathes (i.e. Fuji & Murata).
- Adjust robot teach points.
- Assist maintenance with any repairs when needed.
- Assure proper preventive maintenance is completed.
- Assist manufacturing engineers with new job start-ups and problem solving process (Green Belt tasks).
- Produce trial run parts on new job start-ups.
- Implementation of improvement project.
- Trouble shoot assembly processes
- Maintain or improve cycle times for assembly processes
- Other duties assigned as needed
EDUCATION / WORK EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma.
- 2 years engineering or manufacturing experience.
- Knowledge of commonly known concepts, practices, and procedures within a CNC machining production environment – CNC machining processes, G-code programming, assembly automation, leak testing, robotic loading and unloading of machine tools.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Self-directed and motivated.
- Good communication skills.
- Use of good judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
Required Skills and Education
Previous experience preferred.
