Financial Analyst - IT

Job Description Summary

#TeamAAM is looking for a Financial Analyst to join the IT team located at World Headquarters in Detroit, Michigan. This role requires knowledge of financial principles and will work closely with the IT group.

Job Description

• Integral part of the IT Procure to Pay process utilizing AAM’s Oracle ERP system as well as other internal applications (e.g., Esker)
  • Responsible for the on-going monthly processing of supplier manual and PO-driven invoices, supplier PO-related receipting, and supplier payment issue follow-ups
  • Purchase requisition entry and supplier PO communications primarily for IT’s suppliers
  • Supplier Statement of Account Management and Analysis – on-going follow-up on outstanding/aged supplier invoice payment issues on various accounts (e.g., Dell, Telecomm. Suppliers, etc.)
  • Periodic communications with Corporate Accounts Payable as well as external supplier contacts
• Integral part of IT’s month-end close process
  • Data Evaluations and Analyses
  • Follow-ups
• Integral part of Annual Budget Development process
• Creating, Maintaining, and Improving IT Financial Services Support Policies, Procedures, Processes and Standards
  • Knowledge articles and other documentation as required (utilizing Microsoft Word and Visio)

Required Skills and Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or related field required

Proficient with Microsoft Suite of Office Products – Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.

Prefer some Oracle ERP system experience – AAM uses Oracle R12 EBS Applications – training will be provided on an as needed basis

Needs very good interpersonal communication (both oral and written) skills

Must be thorough and detail-oriented

Problem solving skills

Self-starter and team player
