AAM is a world leader in the manufacturer, engineering, validation and design of driveline systems, chassis systems and forged products for trucks, buses, sport utility vehicles and passenger cars.Currently, this Tier 1 automotive components supplier needs a talented student to fill the role of a Compensation Co-op in their Corporate Human Resources Department in Detroit MI.
Job Description
Primary:
- Track & participate in annual and ad hoc compensation surveys
- Support annual compensation processes; annual increase and bonus
- Support hourly compensation benchmarking and data preparation
- Perform data audits and coordinate with local HR teams for resolution on data issues
- Perform other administrative duties such as data entry, tracking, review, presentations, etc.
Other:
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Education
- Must be currently enrolled fulltime in a college or university in an undergraduate or graduate program
- Preferred focus in HR or Business Administration
- Graduation Date of December 2026; GPA of 3.0 or above required
- Available to work a minimum of 24-32 hours per week, year round
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office:
- Excel-Pivot Tables, Lookups, if/then statements, mail merge
- PowerPoint-Updates for presentations
- Word/Outlook
- Must maintain strict confidentiality
- Must be able to function well independently, but also be a team player
- Detail oriented, have excellent organizational skills and a can-do mindset
- Strong communication, interpersonal and customer service skills
- Willing to take on new projects on an as-needed basis
