Crib/Storeroom Clerk

Job Description Summary

Our Storeroom Clerk will ensure our Maintenance, Engineering, and Manufacturing teams have the tools needed to ensure we can meet our customers’ needs. This person will take ownership of the tool purchase process from vendor selection to order fulfillment.

Job Description

  • Maintain documentation including vendor quotes, RFQ’s, and certificates
  • Maintain visual and manual count of available supplies of materials.
  • Monitor orders for stockroom, requisitions, and consignment usage
  • Monitor delivery dates and commitments, expedite rush or late deliveries
  • Monitor delivered products/supplies/materials to ensure that they align with the purchase order and specifications. 
  • Receive and count stock items, and record data using a computer.
  • Pack and unpack items to be stocked on shelves.
  • Store items in an orderly and accessible manner using assigned locations in the storeroom.
  • Mark stock items using identification tags, stamps, electric marking tools, or other labeling equipment.
  • Adhere to all location specific and plant-wide regulations for safety, quality and housekeeping.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Education

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Intermediate-Advanced computer skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Able to communicate effectively through both written and verbal communication
  • Able to multi-task and prioritize items based on business need
  • Ability to troubleshoot issues in a timely manner, and know when to ask for help
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
