Job Description Summary

Responsible for inbound and outbound transportation to ensure on time deliveries. Coordination of carrier contracts and services.Maintains shipping schedule by coordinating loading of trucks; scheduling load times; balancing type of loads; making appointments; controlling flow of schedule.

Job Description

•Maintains records of all shipments and invoices using an established system.
•Retrieves data or correspondence from files within an appropriate time frame.
•Notifies departments of shipping or receiving schedules and of any logistics problems.
•Verifies that documents and checklists are accurate and complete.
•Daily management and coordination of shipments between shippers, plants and transportation providers.
•Track and trace all shipments and update load status to proactively identify any delayed shipments and act swiftly to implement actions and alerts to all involved parties.
•Book, track and trace expedited shipments as requested by plant materials/logistics teams.
•Comply with all international shipping requirements, including but not limited to packing lists, commercial invoices, labeling and other documentation.
•Track truck cube utilization statistics at shipping and receiving docks.
•All other duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Education

  • Carrera de ingeniería industrial o licenciatura en administración, comercio o carrera afín y/o experiencia en el área
  • Experiencia mínima de 3 años, en la industria.
  • Ingles intermedio deseable.
  • Experiencia en industria automotriz

Conocimiento sistema covisint, Ford (transacciones de embarques)
