The Engineering Manager provides strategic leadership and oversight to the Engineering Team. This role focuses on developing, implementing, and continuously improving efficient, cost-effective production processes that meet the company’s quality, safety, and performance standards.Job Description
- Lead and manage the Engineering Team, ensuring the organization is equipped with the necessary skills, resources, and structure to meet operational and strategic goals.
- Oversee the development and implementation of manufacturing processes and capital investments for new product programs, including documentation of process flows, capacity plans, and timelines.
- Direct the sourcing and deployment of manufacturing equipment for automotive components and assemblies.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards, process development protocols, and risk mitigation measures during process launches.
- Identify and implement best practices to improve manufacturing performance, including yield, runtime, quality, safety, and cost efficiency.
- Manage the capital expenditure (CapEx) budget for specific areas or process launches, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
- Provide technical guidance to resolve production challenges and support continuous operational improvement.
- Develop and execute training, talent development, and succession plans for the Engineering Team.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and administrative systems within the Manufacturing Engineering function.
- Analyze process performance data to drive improvements in efficiency, cost, and quality.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support organizational goals.
Required Skills and Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field is required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, including leadership roles.
- Proven leadership experience in engineering, preferably within the automotive industry.
- Demonstrated ability to drive operational excellence and align team objectives with company strategy.
