2nd Shift Tooling Presetter

Job Description Summary

Participate on a high volume team with cutting tool related duties and responsibilities.

Job Description

• Set up tool holders with the cutting tools according to the cutter list for the component to be machined.
• Measure tooling using a precision measuring device.
• Set up and/or modify master tools within system.
• Clean and inspect all used tooling such as coolant ports, pockets, shim seats, clamps, etc.
• Operate an industrial washer to clean a variety of tools.
• Accurately deliver tooling to correct department and machines.
• Pull inventory that needs to be pre-set.
• Maintain required float for all machines.
• Comply with OSHA safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
• Perform other duties as assigned or needed.

Required Skills and Education

• Positive attitude and the ability to work well with others
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• General knowledge of metal cutting tools
