Job Description Summary

Lead Quality Technician will be responsible for overseeing the quality assurance activities within our powder metal production environment, with a primary focus on maintaining compliance with IATF 16949 standards. This role involves leading internal and external audits, managing corrective actions, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives to ensure product and process quality.

Job Description

• Lead and coordinate IATF 16949 audits, including internal, customer, and third-party audits
• Maintain and improve quality management systems to ensure ongoing compliance with IATF requirements
• Develop, implement, and monitor quality programs, procedures, and documentation
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) for nonconformities
• Support production teams with quality-related issues and training
• Review and analyze data from inspections, audits, and testing to identify trends and improvement opportunities
• Collaborate with engineering, production, and customer service to resolve quality concerns
• Maintain calibration and inspection equipment records
• Duties assigned as needed

Required Skills and Education

• Associate or Bachelor's degree in a technical field (or equivalent experience)
• 3+ years of quality experience in a powder metal or manufacturing environment
• In-depth knowledge of IATF 16949 standards and auditing practices
• Certified Internal Auditor for IATF 16949 preferred
• Strong problem-solving skills and familiarity with quality tools (e.g., 8D, FMEA, PPAP, SPC, APQP)
• Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and quality management software
